Bolle Safety – Innovative Vision
Bolle has been designing protective eyewear for over 60 years. Lately it has launched a range of safety eyewear for the Asian market and a ‘positive seal’ collection. The ‘positive seal’ collection was designed with the mining industry and others that encounter dusty environments.
All Bolle non-prescription safety glasses are approved to AS/NZS 1337.1.2010 for medium impact protection.
Lens Technology:
Polarised lenses
Light can be bounce and be reflected off a myriad of surfaces, such as water, snow and the road. Bolle Safety polarizing technology removes the glare and the stress it causes on your eyes. The lenses block virtually 99.9% of UVA/UVB rays, protection that goes beyond the government and commercial standards. All Bolle Safety polarized lenses are injection molded. The optically precise polarizing film is embedded into the lens ensuring it won’t wear or scratch off the lens.
Extra Sensory Perception (ESP) Lens
This is an innovative lens coating that reduces glare and the harmful affects of blue light to keep you eyes safe. The reasons that we protect ourselves against blue light include: Blue light diffusion is 10 times more powerful than red light. Blue light rays diffuse in all directions. Blue light can damage the retina. The long term consequences of blue light include: Reduction in visual acuity, loss of contrast, discomfort, visual fatigue, head aches and blurred vision. The new ESP coating filters: 70% blue light.
Twilight lens
Built on the successful platform of Bolle safety’s ESP coating system. Twilight technology offers the added benefit of anti-fog coating on both sides of the lens to prevent fogging in the most challenging conditions.
The high contract, high definition and excellent light transmission is ideal for low light, outdoor work environments, particularly early morning and late evening.
Twilight filters 76% of blue light.
Contrast Lens
The contrast lens has a revolutionary coating system, this gradient lens offers improved long term eye comfort.
It is thought to improve accuracy, as it helps with colour recognition while improving your perception of depth and contrast.
Provides protection from impact and a barrier to light pollution (from sources such as neon and halogen lights).
It decreases fatigue as it filters 30% of blue light, which factor in head aches and visual fatigue (neon lights, computer screens for example).
This coating is also thought to eliminate overheating of the cornea, a source of conjunctivitis, thanks to our unique UV absorbers and flash treatment.
It may also assist in reversing the aging process in the crystalling lens, a source of cataracts, thanks to its unique heat reflection treatment. This coating is feature in the ‘Bolle Axis 2’ safety glasses.
ALS – Advanced Lens Shielding
The ALS lens coating system is a dual process offering exceptional high quality and durability. This coating technology is a combination anti-fog, anti-scratch system that provides excellent fog free capabilities along with a tough hard coat which is resistant to scratching.
The ALS coating system is applied to both sides of the following lenses: Clear, Smoke, Amber, Twlight, Bronze and Welding Shades 3 and 5 (Tracker 2).
