I have had some really exciting news today; regarding the manufacture of Eyres prescription safety glasses.  The Eyres brand of certified prescription safety glasses are now being made in Brisbane.  The lenses are both being ground and fitted in the lab in Brisbane.  Which means that they have a quicker turn around and are actually ‘made’ in Australia.  Please note that the frames are still manufactured in China.

This is a change, from the lenses being fitted in the lab in Thailand.  This brings the labs that we use, that fit the lenses in Australia to 2.  So 50% of our supply labs, are now fitting the lenses in Australia.  Which means more jobs for Australia and quicker turn around on certified prescription safety glasses for you.  Also less carbon miles for shipping the safety glasses from overseas back to Australia.
