PSG Frames & Lenses

PSG has the largest range of prescription safety eyewear available in Australia with more than 22 frame models listed on AS/NZs 1337.6 Standards Schedule as Certified.  All PSG frames are manufactured to exceed regular opthalmic frames standards.

On offer are both metal (conductive) and plastic (non-conductive), medium impact frames, to suit a range of environments and patient requirements.
All models are tested as part of SAI Global audited QA system and provided with full documentation as per the standard.

NATA Rated Ballistic Cannon in Service

As part of their QA system, PSG uses a 2 barrel .25/.15 cal NATA rated Ballistic Cannon. This instrument is used to impact test a random 1% sampling of completed Prescription Safety Glasses, as part of our ongoing Testing.

All PSG prescription safety spectacles undergo an extensive quality control process before being shipped as a completed item to either the PSG Agent, or a specific workplace.

HOYA

HOYA Lens has been offering prescription Safety Eyewear to customers since 2007, and currently offers low and medium impact safety frames and lenses under the 1337.6 ANZ standard. HOYA’s Safety Eyewear range offers a complete product including frame and lenses. Our frame range now includes 15 certified products, which have been independently tested to suit all workplace environments.

Low vs. Medium Impact

The type of safety eyewear you wear is dependent on the task or activity conducted, and the risk that task can have on damaging your eyes. HOYA Safety Eyewear offers both low and medium impact options: Low Impact: Suitable for tasks where there is low risk of damage to the eyes, with no debris, however some protection is still required. Suitable for occupations such as a dentist, doctor or any chemical laboratory related tasks.

Medium Impact: Suitable for occupations where there is a high risk of debris that can damage the eyes, or where blunt objects are utilised. This can include mining, construction, grinding, farming and agriculture, wood-working, machinery usage, hammering or brick laying.

HOYA Phoenix 1.53 Lenses

HOYA’s unique proprietary Phoenix 1.53 lens material is a medium impact certified lens material used throughout HOYA’s Safety Eyewear range. It is completely resistant to common chemicals, making it the perfect material for safety in the workplace. Phoenix is also extremely light-weight and is available with HOYA’s Super Hard Coat and VP Multi-coat, guaranteeing crisp, clear vision across the entire surface of the lens.

Rx Safety

Rx Safety is a privately owned laboratory based in South Australia.  This incredibly helpful and friendly staff.  This lab has the ability to complete higher prescription certified safety glasses, than all of the other labs.  Without the need for a prescription insert at the back of the frame.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
